Federal Bureau Of Investigation

In Mosiah 9:15 it says " Yea, and it came to pass that they fled, all that they fled, all that were not overtaken, even in the city of Nephi, and did call upon for protection."

The Dictionary Of Cultural Literacy explains The Federal Bureau of Investigation as " An agency of the United States federal government, long headed by J. Edgar Hoover, which investigates violations of federal (rather than state or local) laws, including kidnaping, smuggling narcotics, and espionage."
The Federal Bureau of investigation also known as the FBI is responsible for conducting federal  investigations, except for when other agencies of the federal government have been delegated to do the job.

The FBI was founded in 1908 by the then attorney general Charles J. Bonaparte. The FBI now currently has the largest staff of employees including 6,000-7,000 special agents who perform the professional investigative work, for the protection of the United States of America.

The Glorious Revolution of 1688

In 1st Nephi 13: 18-19 it says “ And I beheld that the power of God was with them, and also that the wrath of God was upon all those that were gathered together aagainst them to battle.
And I, Nephi, beheld that the Gentiles that had gone out of captivity were adelivered by the power of God out of the hands of all other nations.”

King James the 2nd in parliament with the dutch prince William of Orange. In the dictionary of cultural literacy it defines parliament as “ An assembly of representatives, usually of an entire nation, that makes laws. Parliament began in the middle ages in struggle for power between kings and there people. Today parliament differs from other legislatures in one important way: some of the representatives in the parliament serves as government ministers, in charge of carrying out the laws that the parliament passes.”

King James policies of religious tolerance after 1685 was an increasing opposition by members of the political leaders, who had troubles with his close ties with France.

The glorious revolution in Britain in 1688 in which the parliament deposed king James the 2nd a Roman Catholic who had asserted royal rights over the rights of parliament. Parliament gave the crown to the protestant king William the 3rd a dutch prince, and his British wife queen Mary the 2nd (daughter of James the 2nd) as joint rulers.

The glorious revolution was the last genuine revolution in Britain. Because there was little armed resistance in England to William and Mary, the revolution is also called the bloodless revolution. Battles did take place in Scotland and Ireland, however between supporters of the new king and queen and the supporters of king James.

When the king and queen were offered the crown they agreed to a Bill of Rights that severely limited there power. The British Bill of Rights is often regarded as a forerunner to the United States Bill Of Rights.

Why did the glorious revolution occur?

King James the 2nd was a catholic. But England was a very protestant country. The Protestants and catholics did not often get along. Not many people liked King James but tolerated him during his reign for a time.

The English wanted his Protestant daughter to reign, but since he had a son in line for the crown, the members of parliament arrange for Mary and William her husband to be shipped over with an army and overthrow James. And Mary and her husband became king and queen, and thus ending the possibility of catholic kings in Britain.
